Purpose of Outreach

In addition to worshiping God and edifying the Saints, the local church is to be the "pillar and ground of the truth" (I Timothy 3:15). This means holding out to the world the message of God's coming judgement and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We strive to do this directly in our local community and, through relationships with our Ministry Partners, in other places around the world.

Why Ministry Partners?

​We use the term "ministry partner" to remind us and our missionaries of the partnership we have together in proclaiming Christ and Him crucified. It speaks of the share we have in the responsibility and in the reward.

Annual Commitment

Once a year, we set aside one month--typically September--to focus on what God is doing in and through our Ministry Partners. We then translate these updates into yearly commitments of prayer and financial support, as the Lord leads each believer.

Bruce Woodman with Radio Impacto
  • Impact International (Radio Impacto)
  • ​Bruce is founder and featured speaker on the Impacto radio program reaching Latin America with the good news of Jesus Christ. He also travels frequently throughout Latin America to preach at the Impact International crusades.
Child Evangelism Fellowship - Asheville Chapter
  • Local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) International
  • Jason Beverly is the local Director with CEF, working to reach children in the greater Asheville, NC area with the Gospel.
Child Evangelism Fellowship - Camp Good News
  • Located in Fairview, NC
  • For many years, CGN has sought to minister the gospel to children throughout the summer at their weekly camps. They do not charge the family of the camper, but rely on the support of donors to defray the cost.
The Gideons
  • ​The Gideons are an association of Christian business people and have many "camps" (i.e., chapters) throughout the world. They are especially known for the Bibles they distribute in hotel rooms and for the New Testaments they distribute anywhere they can. We support the local camps in Hendersonville and Asheville, NC.
John Buynitzky

  • ​John is currently "on loan" from HM to Camino Global. He assists them in responding to various Spanish inquires to their gospel web sites. He also promotes the ministry of HOPE Coffee which supports small local coffee farmers in Honduras.
Miriam Gebb with Reach Beyond

  • Miriam has served through medical care and educating volunteers to meet local health and spiritual needs in their jungle environment.
Paul and Callie Teasdale with The Master's Mission
